Student Work Groups for Teachers

How to administer student work groups

As you may already know SmartZoom® differentiates between two types of annotations: students and experts. Usually, student annotations can be only seen by the person who created said annotations, unless the annotation is created within a work group. Work groups are a tool for students to collaborate, learn together, and share annotations and notes.

Students can create work groups by themselves and add or remove users, but only teachers or administrators can delete work groups.

Work groups are available in single slides only and can be accessed through the right-side menu: "My Annotations & notes".

You can lean how to create workgroups here: Using work groups as a student  If you want to see the groups created by students select "Work group space" (1) and click "Manage work groups" (2)

In the "Select work group" drop-down you can see all the work groups created by the students, if you select one:

You will be able to change the group name(1), delete the group and all the annotations and notes it contains (2), see the group members (3) and invite new users to the groups (4).

You can also access work group annotations the way you access Student Annotations.

In the expert view switch to "Search by workgroup" and type in the name of the work group:

and you will be able to navigate the annotations made by the work group as usual:
