Creation and editing of a Common Quiz
Saving a Quiz
A common quiz means you ask the same set of questions(one or more) for all the slides added to the quiz. Once you've selected the quiz type Common you should see this:
You now need to add slides to your quiz. You can source them from the folder you are currently in (1) or find them in the slides you've uploaded (2).
Then you formulate your first question (3), you can add more later, and select what kind of answer you want (4). You can read about the different answer types here: Quiz Answer Types
You can not change the answer type once you've set it, but you can edit the question and description(1,2), as well as add a custom score(3). If no custom score is set, it will be automatically counted as 1 point.
Once you've saved your quiz you can set it to visible (1) so students can start taking it or open the menu (2) to add more images (5) and questions (3&4). You can add a new question(3) or choose one from previously created questions (4). You can also delete the quiz here (6) or copy it(7), to add it to a different course/folder.
You can add more than one question, and have to option to edit your slide as usual.
When adding existing questions, you can filter for the previously created questions by quiz name(1) and then select the ones you'd like to add (2) they will appear on the right side of the menu(3). You can select more than one from several quizzes to add(4) them to your new quiz.
Editing a Quiz
You can change your quiz title(1) at any time, and add a description (2). This is a standard WYSIWYG editor with the usual option to edit your text.
If you select "Block submitting quiz"(1) and publish the quiz. it will be visible but nobody can submit their answers. Each quiz can be only submitted once. unless it is a "Selftest"
You can force a strict order in your quiz(2), meaning the user can not start with question four but must follow the order you set.
You can display your answer in random order (3) this is especially helpful if it is a "Selftest"(4a). Once you enable auto evaluation (4) two additional options will become available. Auto evaluation allows the user to see if their answers are correct once a quiz is submitted. If you enable "Hide Questions and Answers after submitting"(4b) they will only get a score and won't be able to check each individual question.
Your question can be numbered automatically(5) and you can also set a time limit for your quiz(6). Please note the time needs to be added in seconds, some math may be required.
If you would like to be notified when a user submits a quiz you can enter your email address (7).
And you can also set a thumbnail(8) for your quiz. As always, don't forget to save your changes(9).
